SC State Online extends access to South Carolina State University’s educational programs and resources through technology and other innovative methods to enhance learning opportunities. The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Extended Studies, Division of Academic Affairs, provides administrative management for SC State Online.

State Authorization
South Carolina State University is currently authorized to enroll students in distance education/online courses and programs in 49 states as a result of the university’s membership in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).

Consumer Complaint

The Commission provides full online explanation and support of its compliant process at CHE Student Complaint Procedure and form. Complaints regarding student grades or conduct violations are governed entirely by institutional policy and will not be considered by CHE.

Verification of Student Identity
Certain online courses may require the completion of an examination in a virtually proctored environment to confirm the identity of students. Students will be charged a *fee of $17.50 for a virtually proctored exam.
